Oh, I see. It's probably a lot like the Slingbox I have heard of. I think
you could maybe use the feature to record right to your phone, if it could
schedule in advance, or just start the recording and go do something else. I
would imagine the menus would be harder than using the remote because it
would likely stream the menu as a TV picture that you have to keep tapping
arrow down through, and some of the boxes do left and right also. It would
be nice if common functions of the menu could be assigned icons because when
mom tried to turn the alternate audio thing on for me, it listed 7 or 8
different language possibilities it could show up on. On my parents'
DirecTV, there is an unmarked button near the volume you press and it
figures out for itself what alternate audio is available and toggles
accordingly. It would be hard to say if new Dish Network ones have a similar
button few know of because the apartment place got these so long ago.

Hello,
No this will not work hooked up to the antenna. The way you set it up
is to hook your @TV up to your cable or satalite box. Then you put
the IR blaster so it can send commands to the cable or satalite box
directly (I.E. point the IR blaster at the recieving sensor on the
cable or satalite box that recieves signals from the remote control.
You only have the same options as you have always had on your system.
This only allows you to play the feed from your TV to your IPhone,
IPad, IPod, or Mac. and to remote control the TV from those units.
Your menus and such do not change.
Think of it as a unit that streams what ever is on the TV to your
devices. With the added functionality of allowing you to control your
cable or satalite box from those devices.

Will this thing work hooked directly to a regular antenna to receive the
digital TV over the air and broadcast it on the network for the apps to
receive? Also, will it support the alternate audio settings to turn
description on when it's available? On the Dish box, you have to go way
in
the menu to set alternate audio, and it doesn't seem to work even on TNT,
USA, etc that are known to have it at times. The antenna jack here is
strangely on the opposite wall from the jacks for Dish and cable, so it
ended up just about behind the recliner, and I'm about 30 miles or so
away
from the stations.

Subject: Belkin @TV
Hi group,
I have purchased the Belkin @TV and am happy to report it is very
accessible.
The Belkin @TV is a piece of hardware that allows you to watch your TV
on your mobile devices. You controll the television as if you were
sitting on your couch at home. I have it set up on an IPad 2 and an
IPhone 5. My cable provider is Comcast.
Here are my findings so far. I am still playing around and have to
look into the On Demand and DVR pieces yet.
The watching of the actual feed to the TV is very good. You select
the View @TV and what ever is currently on the TV will play on the
mobile device.
The remote is very accessible. As with other video players, you have
to double click the screne to get the remote to come back up after the
video play takes control again, but all of the remote's buttons are
read by VoiceOver. If nothing else this is a good way to control your
television from your IPhone or IPad! Though the cost makes it a very
expensive remote...
Guide is good for accessibility. I am still playing around with this
as well, but there are a lot of items to scroll through on the screne.
You can go through by heading, and can search for actual shows. All
in all it is all read quite well by VoiceOver, I just need to play
with it some more.
There are options for favorites, but I have not played with that part as
of yet.
The Belkin @TV hardware costs between $130 - $150. The IPad app is
free and the IPhone app costs $12.50.
Thank you,
Denny
