Hi Alan,

The iPhone is officially sold in China and I am curious as to where you
heard about that figure of $3,000. It sounds strange to me that a stolen
used iPhone could fetch that much if you could buy a new one for a third of
that or maybe less.

Regards,
Sieghard

AppleCare?

The iPhone is the most stolen phone on the planet. In China, an iPhone of
any size can sell for as much as 3 thousand USD. That makes an iPhone worth
more to a thief. You ever hear of an android phone being worth that much on
the black market? I haven't. Aside from the accessibility of the iPhone,
everything else is second class.
