Hi, I changed the subject to match the question asked in the message below.

You asked,
" Why did you leave the android platform?"

Three main reasons.

The accessibility is not yet on par with the iProducts. Example, you have no
audible clue when you're moving files to where you are moving them. This
relates to number two below.

Because of all the flexibility app developers have, where things get put on
your phone when you install them is not always the same. They sometimes go
at the beginning of the page you were last on. They sometimes go to another
page entirely. Without the ability to move things back to where I want them
with audio feedback, you're either stuck with where they are placed, or you
can take your chance and move them to who knows where. One good thing is
that they are all in your apps folder, so you can find them. But as well as
being in the apps folder, there is a shortcut on one of your home pages.
This is what gets moved around in a rather random manner.

I didn't find some of the apps that were supposed to be totally accessible
to always be so. Perhaps it depends on the kind of phone you have, I'm not
sure, or perhaps the OS or Talk Back, which is the screen reader, is not
quite good enough yet to be consistent.

In short, flexibility can lead to inconsistencies and sometimes sub-par
performance of apps in my opinion. The criteria for getting apps to the
Google play store is not as strict as Apple's, so you may not always get
apps that perform at their best.

It will likely get better, but it remains to be seen whether or not it
becomes more consistent.

I also have the luxury of being in a research program that will allow me to
use and learn about many different Android devices. So, I decided to make
the iPhone my main phone and play with the others on the side.

I go off to the Verizon store today to trade in my Android phone for the
iPhone 5.

I hope that answers your question.

Neal
