Hi,

I don't necessarily think its was an access related thing, In the case of 
Android, it doesn't prevent access, its just not as efficient.  I think it 
effects sighted and blind alike.  Come to think of it, I wonder if patents are 
why on Android you have to draw those stupid right angles.  I really do dislike 
those gestures. haha.  Maybe it works better on a smaller screen but on the 
Nexus 7, I have a high failure rate with it.  As far as Netflix, yeah.  You 
have to turn off Voiceover and scroll the way sighted people do to insure the 
content your looking for is in focus.  At least, thats the only way I've found 
to get around this issue.
