If you're a Jaws user, then a left mouse click should do the trick to
activate the various combo boxes and other items in Firefox, but if you're
in IE, then you have to fiddle around with the jaws cursor. A bit more
involved, but it can still be done.

Yeah, I have looked around there and once I choose settings, I can't do much

Go to http://voice.google.com and sign in. Then choose settings. There are
different categories and one of them is calls. You can turn it on or off
from there. The website can be a bit tricky to use if you are not used to
it, I can easily do it using Window Eyes, so I imagine other screen readers
should work if you use another one.
