Hi all. The following is a way to share the link to an app.
1. Using the app store from your iThingy.
First, bring up the app like your normally do. In other words, get it to
the screen which shows the buy or free button. This is the screen which
shows the app description. Toward the top right corner is a share
button/. Using Voice Over of course you double-tap to activate this
button after selecting it. A dialog comes up with the choices: Mail,
Message, Twitter, Facebook, Copy Link, and Cancel. If you want to start
a new message thread for viphone, then you can choose mail and address
your message to the viphone address, give it the right subject, and
maybe change the default text which is automatically populated. Then
send the message. Now, if you want to copy the link so you can paste it
yourself into a new message or a reply, then choose Copy Link. Then from
the mail program when you are editing, choose the edit setting from the
rotor, flick down until you reach paste, then double tap and the link to
the app will be pasted.
2. From iTunes in Windows.
I use Window-Eyes, so your mileage may vary if using Jaws or NVDA. First
start iTunes, then go to the iTunes Store, shift tab once and in the
search box, type the name of the app. Once the app information comes up
like normal, press down arrow once from the button which gives the name
of the app and it's price. If you don't already have the app, the button
under it will usually say add to wish list. If you already own the app,
the button under the download one may just say button. In any case,
press enter on this button. Again, using Window-Eyes, Browse Mode will
turn off and the menu for this will now be accessible. Press down arrow
to get options like, Tell a Friend, Gift this app, Copy Link, Share on
Facebook, and Share on Twitter. Of course you want to press enter on
Copy Link. This will copy the link to the app into your clipboard. Now
from your email program you can press control-v to paste the link into
your message.
