Hello,

yes.  But this switch has nothing to do with the volume of media.  For example, 
if your playing a song, flipping the switch shouldn't, and wouldn't stop or, 
silence the song.  I have experience if streaming video from lets say the 
official youtube app for example, and lock the screen, the media will stop 
playing.  But oddly enough, this isn't the case if streaming a podcast.
