If you take it in I'm sure they will be able to determine that you are
having a problem.

My iPhone 4 does not announce the time or anything unless I get a
notification. However, while my phone is doing the crazy dance of trying to
switch speaker phone on and off and on and off it cuts my voice off and the
listener cannot hear me nor can I hear them except for an occasional
syllable. :( I do not have a screen protector or cover on my screen. I guess
I may need to take it into apple but I am afraid I will not produce the
problem. Maybe they can do some diagnostic testing.
