I have several chargers that were shipped with specific devices, all of which have USB plugs at one end of the cord. Could I use the same USB charger to charge these various devices? In the old days, an AC adapter would have a specific plug on it to prevent it from being used to charge a device that needed a different voltage or polarity. I think the answer to my question is that it is not a good idea, that I should use the charger that came with the device, but am I being overly paranoid? After all, all these devices say they can be charged from my computer.
