Hi, I guess I misunderstood when one of the developers said the app was
going free for a time. I think that perhaps some of us understood that
the content would be free. However if we think this through, the cost of
the app is not the same as the cost of the content. This reminds me of
MotionX GPS Drive. The cost is 1 dollar, and then you have to pay a
yearly or monthly subscription fee to continue to use the turn by turn
navigation features. In the case of the news reading app it makes sense
because access to most newspaper content isn't free. So, money has to be
gotten from somewhere. In the case of NFB Newsline, once you show that
you are reading disabled, then of course you get access, but not all who
qualify will have an NFB Newsline subscription either.

I have to seriously agree with you on this. I could never afford $10 a month
for any subscription of any kind. So as for me I'm just going to stick with NFB
newsline. It works.

Hello Folks,
I just installed the app. I was enjoying it until I heard that I maxed out on
the 3 articles that I could read for day. The next prompt offered for me to
subscribe to Earl services. I was extremely surprised when I saw the monthly
and the yearly subscription fees. I guess I will have to be more selective on
the 3 articles I choose each day. These fees are exorbitant for those who are
visually impaired or blind. JMO.
Thanks for listening.
Best,
Eileen
