Hi,
I received a birthday party invitation which is like a post-card. It is
shiny, the background is floral and purple (mainly) and the script is white and
, in places, swirly,. In other words, not something that we can scan as yet. I
tried many times with prizmo, using the StandScan Pro plus lights, then without
the lights to try and avoid glare. But Prizmo told me that no text could be
found.
I then tried it with Text Grabber. I did, at least get results, more often
than not and discovered something interesting: each time my results were not
complete, but different bits of text were identified! This was strange because,
if I had been able to amalgamate all my results, I would have got just about
all the info. So, if TG could manage this transposition of colour from black
text to white and, with difficulty, ignore the confusion of the background, why
can't it do the lot, all at one sitting?
This is not to criticise Text Grabber, after all, it did better than
Prizmo, and, indeed, I was delighted to get any results from this most tricky
scan, but if it can do it.....
Just my thoughts and here it is, not good, but the best I could get!
