Thanks for the feedback everyone -- I certainly knew there wasn't necessarily a one size fits all answer, but it's good to hear what works for some of you and what doesn't for others.
Maybe certain bluetooth pieces work better than others to reduce lag? I bought a pair to use while working out, but I can't imagine using it every day because the lag is distracting. Whatever the case, I've also thought about buying a cheap pair of earbuds and snapping off one of the wires, so I would only have one simple wire to deal with and nothing else hanging from my neck.
