Hi, It really depends on how much time and mental energy you are willing to devote to keep your iPhone safe. It also depends on if you plan on reselling your phone. Without a case, I think its almost impossible to keep your phone from accumulating some minor scratches, and general ware and tare. A case often protects from this kind of damage.
