Yeah,  compact Daniel is pretty fuzzy. Also, Samantha in any form sounds really 
raspy. And, I don't know, sort of breathy. I hope that makes some kind of sense.

As for non-compact voices sounding superior at lower speeds, I'll have to give 
that a try, especially Daniel.

I can't listen to VoiceOver too long at any speed past 75 or 80. I do push it 
up pretty high when I'm looking to mark a bunch of email, though.

One compact voice that has some of the same issues that non-compact voices do 
is the Irish English one. It's super choppy.
