Make sure your SIRI language is set correctly to English US or wherever you are. This can be found in Settings, General, International, Voice Control.
SIRI language also changes if you have another keyboard installed. For example, I have both the English and German keyboard installed. If I am writing an email, for example, I might tap the keyboard button to switch to German if I am sending an email to somebody in Germany. As soon as I do this, I am able to also dictate in German. Then if I forget to switch thekeyboard back to English I might later say something to SIRI in English and it comes back totally garbled because SIRI thinks I am talking German and is trying to do german voice recognition on what I said in English.
