Hi Mickie, I just moved seven months ago from a 2 story, five bedroom house to a one bed room apartment and I didn't have any technology at that time that would help. My first questions would be how much time do you have and what kind of tools are at your disposal?
I can still print so was doing my labels in both print and braille until things got all crazy at the end as they usually do. I also had a word doc that listed l for living room and l1 l2 l3 etc and a general discription of what was in each box. That was a pain to do but was wonderful when it came to figuring out what should go to the apartment and what was to go to the storage unit and very helpful when trying to locate things in the storage unit and for unpacking in the apartment. Another question is how much stuff do you have? What are your priorities about moving and unpacking and that will help you figure out how would be best for you to do it. Also, really resist letting other people tell you how to do it if what they are telling you doesn't fit with your priorities. For me a priority was to have the ability to find what I wanted when I wanted it and not to have to wait for sighted help. That is not a priority for everyone depending on your situation. iI have digit eyes on my phone but haven't worked with it much yet but if you can make that work with making labels go for it because that would be a lot faster I would think.
