When we moved, we labeled each box with a number. That way, nobody knew what was inside. Then in a text file was written the contents of each box and the date the box was packed and numbered. Many people make the mistake of over packing boxes. Then when something gets broken, they can't understand why. It's very important to protect the items inside the box from breakage. Of course, books don't need allot other then if they are of differing sizes and in that case you want to restrain them from flopping up and down or left to right. If your moving any distance, it becomes even more important. Your better off having 50 boxes properly packed and protected then 25 poorly packed packed boxes.
