Hello, I didn't chime in on this one until now. I am a big slate and styius user. But to answer your question about labels with Digit-Eyes no you don't need to purchase the labels from them. You can make your own from the Digit-Eyes site. Just make sure that you use original Avery ones. At the beginning in using or making my own labels to use with the Digit-Eyes app, I had some labels from Staples. There's something about the alignment in the template that doesn't allow the barcodes to line up correctly, so the app will not work with them. I have a laser printer and I like the Avery 5167 because they are small. Also, there are 80 labels on a sheet, so I get bang for the sheet. HTH. Eileen
