Donna, I like the JBL Flip Wireless Bluetooth Speaker which I bought at Amazon and they currently sell for $98.99 with free shipping. The speaker is about the size of a soda can but not quite as long and a bit thinner. I like it because the sound is excellent and the bluetooth connects easily and works well. I can't comment on how it compares to other bluetooth speakers because this is the only one that I have. It should work with both Apple and Android devices provided they have bluetooth capability. This speaker only charges via an AC wall outlet and not a USB port on your computer as many others do. The AC adapter wall block is pretty big if that's an issue but you can listen through the speaker while it is charging. The manufacturer reported life of a charge cycle is 5 hours. I haven't really tested the actual charge life. This speaker comes with a nice neoprene case for travel. It also has a 3.5mm input port for connecting another player such as a Victor Reader Stream provided you have an audio patch cable.
