It makes sense to me that a GPS app wouldn't announce street crossing while
traveling in a vehicle. Neither trekkers do this. You are moving too fast
to make street announcements of much use.

Subject: gps in a vehicle?

My question echoes previous posts on this list.

While in a moving vehicle, which gps app will tell you what streets you are
crossing as you travel?

I downloaded ariadne, it does not do this. It does do a good job for the
road you are on, or turn onto, but does not give info on streets you cross.

Apple maps on my Iphone 4s can plan a route, but that's about it.

Any advice/suggestions are appreciated.
