Hello Margo, I understand where you're coming from. In order for voice over the 
work once you've made a telephone call and if you put the phone to your ear to 
activate the sensor you need to wake your phone going to speakerphone first. 
Then you should be a will to hear voice over at the number two key. Then if 
that does not work it's a possibility that you turn speech off, to turn the 
speech back on the need to do a three finger double tap. I hope that helps you 
with that question. Now onto your home voicemail question, Verizon Wireless 
users hit the pound key that should take you to your password, type in your 
password and hit the pound again. Hope I've helped you and you have a great
