You'll hear the text being selected. Move your fingers apart slowly and
pause to hear the text being selected.

Actually, once you set the rotor to characters, words, or lines, use
the pinch gesture to select some text. Once text has been selected,
Edit usually appears in the rotor. I do this fairly regularly. In a
few places, edit does not appear. I suspect text is copy-protected
in these few instances.

I am still having difficulty selecting and copying text on my
iPhone 5. I often want to copy a word, sentence, etc. from an
online newspaper article I'm reading in order to message it to
someone. I've finally gotten where I can get close to selecting
the applicable text using the pinch gesture. I thought at that
point I needed to use the rotor to select edit, copy but there is
no edit option on the rotor when I'm reading an online article and
it is definitely turned on in the settings. So can someone tell me
how I would do this?
