Instead of the double tap and hold, a simple flick up or down will take you between the different options in the edit setting of the roter, i.e. you can flick up or down between select all, copy, paste and so on. Once you hear the option you want, just double tap to perform the action.

Hi Alan;

I don't know if this applies here but, this is what I do.

When I am in text I want to select and, copy I turn the rotor to edit.

Then, I do a double-tap and hold.

When, the menu comes up and, I hit copy.

After that, I go where I want to put the text and, double-tap and hold
again.

Then, another menu comes up with paste.

However; I have never been successfully been able to do this 100pc.

Hope this helps.

Anthony

I am still having difficulty selecting and copying text on my iPhone
5. I often want to copy a word, sentence, etc. from an online
newspaper article I'm reading in order to message it to someone. I've
finally gotten where I can get close to selecting the applicable text
using the pinch gesture. I thought at that point I needed to use the
rotor to select edit, copy but there is no edit option on the rotor
when I'm reading an online article and it is definitely turned on in
the settings. So can someone tell me how I would do this?

Thanks for any help you can offer.
