Hello All,
first of all, I use the general principles of locating the barcode on a
particular type of object. Here are some suggestions on where to look: round
cans-find the seem and go just to the left of it; boxes-bottom or sides;
bottles with 2 labels-the smaller one (usually). Once I do this step, I double
tap the scan button in Digit-eyes. The camera on the phone is resting on the
object. I slowly lift the phone to about 3 inches. If the barcode is not found,
I will move the object slightly instead of the phone. I am very successful in
finding the barcode. Like Sieghard stated, it will depend upon what type of
information I am seeking in which app I will use such as Talking Goggles,
TapTapSee, or Digit-eyes. HTH.
