Yes, Richard, I knew that the headphone on the iPhone 5 had been moved to
the bottom, but since I have a 4S it escaped me, thanks for mentioning it.

note, that if you have an iPhone five, the earphone is at the same end as
the charging port. So, in Sieghard's excellent description, replace power
button with earphone jack and it makes perfect sense.
