I have tried anywhere from 3 inches to 2 feet with no success. I think I 
should add that I have no problem scanning with apps such as TapTapSee, cam 
find and alike, so I think we can rule out user error. Thank you for your 
time, but I think this is one of those situations with no easy solution. 
Hmm, too bad as an app for reading a computer monitor can prove to be 
incredibly useful for blind computer users especially the technician types.
