Greetings. I need to set the stage for a moemnt here. I have Foursquare on my iPhone 5, running iOS 6.1.4 but I am not using it as much as I once did. Lately I have used Checkie for checking into places, since all it does is allow me to check in and see how many points I have earned. The App Store app has been stuck on a Foursquare update for me all this week. Each time I go into the updates area, it shows any available update along with the ongoing Foursquare update, which only says, "Installing." I am wondering about deleting the Foursquare app and only using Checkie for checking in and points notices. However, if I delete Foursquare will I still be notified of badges either through the notification center or by email? I have set Foursquare on the site to notify me by email of badges that I earn. The tips you get when checking in are sometimes useful, and often not, so not having them wouldn't really bother me that much. Aside from the foursquare apps, are there any other free apps to use for checking into places that are also very easy to use? I'm not looking for any fancy features or access to menus, since I can get those with other apps on my phone. Thoughts?
