Hello Wayne and all: I am a fan of foursquare and they do not pay me a dime :)
Have you attempted to clear out the download? 1. double tap on the foursquare app on your phone …. not on the update page in the app store 2. you should get a message telling you that the download failed and be given an OK button to click on. double tap the OK button. 3. go back to the app store. the update button should no longer be dimmed. double tap on the update button and you should be good to go. Just had this problem last weak and this is how I fixed it. Hopefully this information proves useful to you. Please let us know.
