Hello, If you delete the foursquare app, you should still be able to use Checkie. You won't get the notifications on your phone, but it should still email you as that part's handled by the Foursquare system itself. Checkie's a useful app, with my only complaint being the options of posting your checkins to Twitter and Facebook don't work with Voiceover. I've already bugged the developer about that, but other than that, it's pretty much all the benefit I need from Foursquare with none of the extra stuff I never look at.

However, if I delete Foursquare will I still be notified of badges either through the notification center or by email? I have set Foursquare on the site to notify me by email of badges that I earn. The tips you get when checking in are sometimes useful, and often not, so not having them wouldn't really bother me that much. Aside from the foursquare apps, are there any other free apps to use for checking into places that are also very easy to use? I'm not looking for any fancy features or access to menus, since I can get those with other apps on my phone. Thoughts?
