I agree if you are the kind of person who is away from AC power for days at a time, but I don’t think that applies for most of us.

For one thing there is no battery case out there which has more than maybe 1 charge and while this might be enough for you and for many, others might want something which allows them to charge their phone 3 or 4 or even 8 or 10 times for example if you go out camping. I also have not seen a battery case which has a belt clip (does the Mophie have that)? In my opinion a belt clip is pretty important for getting the most out of apps like BlindSquare or the Seeing Eye app because first of all I want to have my phone somewhere where I can interact with it which I can do if it is on my hip. Second I want it to be on my hip in a swivel belt clip so the top of the phone can point in the direction I am walking which gives me correct compass readings. BlindSquare uses the compass for sure as well as GPS and I am not quite sure about the Seeing Eye app, but I think it also uses the compass when you use the LookAround Wand feature.
