Not sure what you mean by iPhone cover. It is a case in itself, so you would not need to have your iPhone in another case.

BlindSquare uses the compass for sure as well as GPS and I am not quite sure about the Seeing Eye app, but I think it also uses the compass when you use the LookAround Wand feature.
