Hi Joseph, As Ricardo said, the app will always show up as having been purchased by you (that includes free apps). Think of it in terms of music, once you buy it and paid for it it will show up in your purchase history whether you choose to have it on your device or not. I guess it would be nice if Apple introduced a feature which would allow you to hide purchases you absolutely don't want which at least would shrink your list of apps without denying you access to something you bought but don't care for.
