Hi Joseph,

As Ricardo said, the app will always show up as having been purchased by you
(that includes free apps). Think of it in terms of music, once you buy it
and paid for it it will show up in your purchase history whether you choose
to have it on your device or not. I guess it would be nice if Apple
introduced a feature which would allow you to hide purchases you absolutely
don't want which at least would shrink your list of apps without denying you
access to something you bought but don't care for.

Regards,
Sieghard

Thanks Ricardo for the reply--Apple's motives seems sensible. Am I correct
in my understanding that even if I attach my iPod to my computer and
navigate to the list of installed apps, I still can't remove the app of
interest with the use of iTunes? I tried but could not find a way of doing
so from within iTunes though it seems very possible.

Joseph

Hi,

It is completely removed. Apple just keeps a list of apps you've
purchased/installed in case you would like to download it again. This is
how they allow you to redownload something without being charged again.
