This is where the control center will be a welcomed addition to iOS 7 for those of us who have sighted family members. Now when my sighted wife wants to use my phone for whatever reason or if I need for her to check something out for me on the screen, I don't have to go hunting for the settings app and dig into the brightness option and then flick the slider up and then go back and dim it to 0 once she's done. That and I can remove the settings app out of my dock since it won't be as esential for easy access...
