Hi David, I appreciate your detailed reply but maybe I haven't explained my situation well enough.
I have now changed the reduced to the "on" position but still have major problems in correcting and editing text. Whenever I touch the screen, there is a response. If I'm writing, any character touched is inserted --OK! However, now, if i want to add or delete text from that point, I must hit either the delete key or a letter to be inserted and must get the correct one or I'll insert whatever I touch and, if I touch near the top of the screen then my cursor, which i've placed where needed, moves to that position. How then do I edit? I've tried with both the standard and (my preferred) touch typing settings and still can't successfully edit anything. In addition to the above, I can no longer delete text using the pinch method because the cursor just moves as soon as I place my fingers. Does this make any more sense to you and can you edit in these ways in IOS7? To my mind, this is one of the worst things that could have happened for us. I could do the pinch gesture easily enough and keyboard if I wished in previous versions. Now I must use MBraille for all but the shortest of input of letters. I do appreciate your forbearance with me on this. I shall be writing to Apple Support on this as soon as I can.
