Hi David, I just tried the 3-finger swipe up on the lock screen and the control center definitely pops up .
Try tapping the status bar once then perform the 3-finger swipe up. However, access is no longer done using the double press of the home button. Access controls are now located in the control center. I have not been able to access the control centre using the three finger flick up method whilst on the initial lock screen. To access the control centre from the lock screen, touch and hold one finger on the display just above the home button until two ascending tones are heard. Then, without lifting the finger from the display, slide it vertically straight up a couple inches before removing it from the touchscreen. This opens the control centre where the player controls are located.
