Thanks for conveying this trick as it definitely works and is very consistent. Gotta say though, still leaving me wanting just a tad bit faster access to home screen. <Smile>.
So far, my fastest access to the home screen has been turning on the iDevice then double-tapping about half an inch above home button at about 1 o'clock. I listen for the word "unlock," and I then double-tap. Works quickly and reliably. Wow! Just look at how many ways one can access the home screen! Who said Apple devices don't give the user many choices?
