Ok, here's my way of logging out of Facebook. I find this way fast and easy.
Go to m.facebook using safari on your iPhone. Once facebook has loaded, near the top of the page you should find buttons for main menu, friend request, messages and notifications. Double tap on main menu. Once the page has loaded, touch the back button do not tap on it, this should put voiceover focus at the bottom of the page. Swipe from right to left, taking you to the top of the page with each swipe. Within several swipes you should hear copyright, privacy policy, terms of use, log-out, account settings etc Just double tap on log-out. Sorry I can't help with logging out of Facebook using the Facebook app, because I don't use the Facebook app. In my opinion, it doesn't have as many of the features as the mobile site and I could never get the share or comment buttons to work for me.
