To get to genres, just double tap on the new station button. On the next page, you can enter an artist, song or genre in the search field, and below the search field, you'll have a lit of genres. For example, if I double tap on Classical, I do see Opera and Medieval and Renaissance. If you double tap one of these genres, you'll hear about 10 to 15 second snip its of songs in that genre. If you like what you hear, just double tap on the add new station button, which should be right below where you found the genre.

I do not see them now either. well, renaissance is there. but opera has
vanished; but I cannot get to genres. It just is not cooperating. bestPen

When I was listening to a featured station, I didn't have the option

Renaissance in the list of featured stations.

Like I said, the only way I could get the like and dislike button to
not be dimmed is when I created my own station, either by specifying a
artist/song or by going into the list of genres and sub genres. I
didn't look for Opera or Medieval in the list of genres, but I did see
Classic Rock, Smooth Jazz and so on. When I used these subgenres to
create my own station, I was able to like and dislike songs.

well, that is not quite accurate. because I did not create the opera
station, nor the one for medieval and renaissance; but it allows me to
thumbs-up or vote for a track; play more like this. and it also tells me
to vote "never play this again," if I want to. of course, I don't know
if that will really be taken into consideration, but these were stations
that already existed.
So my experience is a bit different from yours.

You can also train iTunes Radio to feed you music you like. Use the
like/dislike button to let iTunes Radio know if you want to hear more
music similar to the track you're listening to or you never want to
hear that track again. This only works for stations you've created
yourself, either by specifying an artist/song or using one of the
provide genres.

Hi All,
I finally got around to playing with iTunes radio which is in the
music
folder of ios 7. With this cold holding on for over a week, I've
spent a
lot of time laying around doing not much of anything so I thought this
would be a good time to give it a test drive. I should also say that
I'm not much of a radio fan. I don't like other folks selecting what
sort of music I listen to. Apparently with this app all you need
to do
is to enter into the text entry field, the name of a song, an
album, or
an artist. So, I typed in "The Eagles" iTunes radio came back and
offered me "Eagles Radio" Wow! I thought that meant that I would hear
one Eagles tune after another but instead, I get great songs that go
together. I suppose there are other music apps and services out there
but I see what their doing here. They played a song by
The-Nitty-Gritty-Dirt-Band called An American Dream which I hadn't
heard
in some time and I decided to add it to my collection. Wow again! a
buck twenty nine USD. You could go to the poor house buying songs
1 at
a time. I wonder if there is anything like ten songs of your choosing
for an album price. Sense I have no experience with these kinds of
deals, if anybody can give me any kind of a quick look over I'd
appreciate it.
