I must be one of the rare ones who do close all apps using App Switcher, then. There are times When I want to free up all resources & have everything unloaded.
I find that if I want to clese an app, I open App Switcher, swipe right to the app I want to close & flick up once to invoke "close." I can then just double-tap it, and move to the next app to close, double-tap and so on. The three-finger flick up, of course works and saves a gesture, but I've gotten pretty used to setting to "close" then moving to & double-tapping the item to close.
