Same basic question, but when I got my iPad I downloaded apps from the store
under purchased. Did not understand I would have to restore. This was a few
weeks ago when everything was 7.0. My phone remains with everything the way
I want it. Question: is there now any way to re-sync my iPad to iPhone
moving all apps and settings over or am I stuck doing all by hand? Same
question for an upgraded phone. I have a few items I absolutely want to
transfer both to my iPad and eventually a new phone. Please if describing,
go step-by-step. I do not want to guess on this. I will do all by hand, but
it would be much easier for me if it could just sync exactly like the phone,
of course understanding the iPad is different in some ways! Thank you in
advance. Perhaps I got just a bit ahead of myself and should have waited
until the fire of 7.02 died down before I tried to be a techie! :)

Most of this will be covered by an iCloud backup from the first and restore
to the second. That should include data for the apps if turned on, so yes
to their settings too. I don't know about music, that is more an iTunes
thing, and that would preclude iCloud.
Apps might have iPad specific code so would change when it discovered what
it was running on, but no reason not to work. There's an option to make
small screen apps to fill the larger iPad screen.

In short, I never found an issue when i had both.

Subject: More than one device?

Hi,

I just got an IPad, but I want to know the following.

Can I have the same apps on my IPad as on my IPhone, and will they work the
same?

Also, will the settings be the same, or will I have to do settings on each
device. I mean, if I download OOTunes or Tunein radio, will I be able to
get the same stations listed in my recents or favorites or will I need to do
that separately on the IPad?

Finally, what about the music I have on my Iphone?

I have absolutely no idea how to go about getting it to the Ipad. Please
help!

Thanks

Tom
