The book is activated when it is downloaded.

My understanding is that a book needs to be activated the first time you
open it. As long as you have already opened the book once, and it was
activated that first time, you should be fine. I could be wrong, and I have
not been following this thread closely so I may be repeating someone else’s
comments, but there you go in any case.
