Ah, as Sieghard pointed out, things are a bit different between the
iPhone and the iPad. Apparently the lock rotation option isn't in the
control Panel and it works a bit differently on the iPad. I don't have
an iPad, so I'd just refer to his message.

I have an IPad and I went into control center but I did not find anything on
lock rotation. In the control center there were button to play, volume,
previous track, next track button, air plane mode, wi fi, boothtooth, do not
disturb , mute, clock, camera. I did not find anything about rotation lock
in the control center. So what am I missing?

I don't see a lock rotation setting in Settings -> General. To set lock
rotation, I go into the Control center. You can do this by touching the top
of the screen in the status bar, such as where the time is displayed. Do a
three finger swipe up after you've touched the status bar. The lock rotation
option is in that list. You can toggle it on or off. Even if you have lock
rotation set on, some apps will still switch to landscape mode, such as
Solara and netflix, but you shouldn't switch to landscape mode just by
rotating your iPhone.

Hi
I went into General and selected lock rotation. But when I move my
IPad around it still goes into landscape mode and back to portrait
mode. It says lock rotation selected. What am I doing wrong that
the rotation still does not stop changing from one to the other.
Thanks in advance
