Good catch Teresa. Doug is using Gmail.

When in your in box or another folder, flick up or down. In my case, I hear "More", "Trash" and "Default action". If you double tap on "Trash" the message will be deleted, i.e. moved into the Trash folder. You may have to do what Teresa suggests before this option appears. It may show up as move or archive or something like that until you do change the setting below. Note if you don't get options like this when you flick up or down then your roter may no longer be set to "Actions". Twist your roter until you get to actions and then you should find these options by flicking up or down.

are you using an IMAP account such as Gmail? You’ll probably have to go into
the Gmail settings and change “archive” to “delete”. Go to settings, mail,
contacts, etc. and find your IMAP account and double-tap on it. Go to the
button with your email address and double-tap. Double-tap on the advanced
button. In this screen there will be a mailbox behaviors section. Choose
“deleted messages folder” for your discarded messages. Press back and then
press done.

Hello all, I tried Christipher’s suggestion, but unfortunately it only has a
move option and no delete button. I even tried swiping up on the list of
emails, but unfortunately there is no delete option.
Thanks,
Doug
