Hi Harry, What you describe is a Flashlight and it basically turns on the iPhones LED Flash permanently, well, until you turn it off again anyways, and it is meant as an emergency flashlight for sighted people. Like maybe somebody drops something in the dark as they walk along and they of course are not likely to have a flashlight along, but most people would have their phone. Anyhow, be careful you don't turn this on and leave it on as it would seriously suck battery.
