OK, have a new 5S as of tonight. Somehow the wonderful store clerk turned off voice over. Where in the world, or iTunes, do I find voice over off/on? From there I think I will either wipe the phone and start over from the cloud or just download what I need from the app store. He synced it with my iPad on the Cloud, but not sure everything moved. Tried to tell him I could do it, but he was just trying so hard to be kind. Guess he pushed something he should have not!

Contacts and apps it will do, I am not sure about the photos though. It depends
if your iCloud settings are set so that your photos are backed up to iCloud.
Remember, that iCloud isn’t actually hosting all of your content it is only
taking a periodic snapshot of your device so that when you request the info the
service can get it for you.

Does this make any sense?

Will that put all my photos, contacts, apps etc across? I have backed up the
old phone onto iCloud, but it says I have 3.5 gig of 5 gig available. But my 16
gig iPhone is full, so is it like a compressed backup?
I'm sure that's a stupid question.

It is very easy to do this. When you are setting up your new phone make sure to
choose to set up from an iCloud backup and as long as you have been using
iCloud to back up your phone all of your apps and settings will be brought on
over to the new phone.

Have fun playing with your new iPhone.

Hi all.
This is the first time I've had to do this so I'm asking for some simple
directions.
I've always upgraded my phone at an apple store but have done it differently
for the first time. I need some help in transferring everything across.
I currently have an iPhone 4S and my new iPhone 5s, and running Windows 7 and
NVDA on my laptop.
I haven't even got iTunes installed, so know this is my first step. But can
somebody talk me through in simple terms how to get things transferred from the
4S to the 5S. I am happy to have replies Off list if this is better to avoid
cluttering up the list with simple unnecessary stuff.
Thanks for any help
Richard
