Ah! no wonder they shy away from that fact until after you've listened to
the full service package for the trial period. They can keep it for a
hundred and twenty dollars a year as far as I'm concerned.

The paid Spotify is $9.99 a month I believe. So it isn't cheap.

Any idea of what the premium service goes for? They didn't say in the

free so I double tapped that. I've been listening to the Peter Paul and

Allen,
Spotify's subscription entails more than just ad-free radio listening.
It
opens up their full music collection for searching and streaming and
it's
accessible!

Has anybody tried Pandora and the other music apps. Is there really any
differences? I believe they all have a free version in which you have
to
listen to an add every now and then. How is that any worse then TV or
your
local radio stations. I have no clue what Spotify will want to charge
me to
whack out all the adds but if it's more then 3 or 4 bucks a month, they
can
keep it. It wouldn't be worth it to me just not to hear an add.
opinions
please?

One other small difference I discovered between iTunes Radio and
Pandora,
is that when you start Pandora it will automatically start playing the
last stream you were listening to. With iTunes Radio, you need to
double
tap on the channel you want to start listening to. Just a small thing,
but
I like this feature in Pandora.

I compared iTunes Radio and Pandora a bit more this morning. Pandora
also integrates nicely into the lock screen and the control Panel, but
iTunes Radio does give you the like/dislike button on the lock screen
and the Control Panel whereas you have to go to the Pandora app to
give
a song the thumbs up or thumbs down. On the downside with iTunes
Radio,
you have to double tap on the like/dislike button before you can
select
play more like this or never play this track again, whereas Pandora
let's you do this right from the Pandora main screen. therefore, it's
probably a push unless you're in the lock screen and have a passcode
set.
I do find the Pandora main screen to be a bit more cluttered, and I do
have to wait for VoiceOver to restart after it gets hung up in the
middle of the Pandora screen. Other than this, they're pretty
comparable
from an accessibility stand point.
I haven't really compared the music selections much between the two
services. The Classic Hard Rock genre on iTunes Radio did seem pretty
small to me though, but when I switched to the Classic Rock genre, I
was
much more satisfied. Pandora seems to do a better job of playing
playing
more songs I like, but maybe that's because I've been using it longer
and it has more data about what I like and don't like. It's also a
catch
22 since that also means I hear less new music that I might like,
which
maybe is why I've been using iTunes Readio a bit more lately.
LKike I said below, they're both free and accessible, so give them
both
a download and a try before deciding if you want to upgrade.

I use iTunes Radio and Pandora. I like Pandora because I can also
access
it on my systems running Ubuntu, and even though they're both
accessible
on the iPhone, I find that iTunes Radio has a cleaner and easier to
use
interface. Plus it's integrated nicely into the lock screen and the
Control Panel. They're both free, so it would be easy to try them out
and then upgrade to a paid option to get things like fewer
commercials,
higher quality and cloud storage.

Sherry, I also use AccuRadio and like it a lot. One thing, though,

the app is wholly different on the iPad than on the phone. I haven't

tried it on the iPad.
Thanks to everybody for your ideas.

Pandora is great on IoS. You can use it for free with commercials,
or
pay
$3.99 a month with no commercials. Rhapsody is pretty good, but it's
very
limited for free access and only has samples. I have a subscription
to
it,
and they have lots of music in a very broad range.

Slow down; you'll get there faster.

Can anyone compare the various services available the major ones,

in
terms of accessibility first and then perhaps any pros or cons of
each. I
guess for purposes of this list, I am mostly asking about
accessibility.
One
big question would be is there any difference in level of access
for
one
service's free version compared to the paid; maybe they use
different
apps
or introduce elements that effect access.
I am just considering trying out something and then subscribing.
So,
I am
completely ignorant, other than familiarity by mention.
Thanks for any pointers to information!
