guys, Apologies if I've posted this twice. I just inherited my wife's iPod Touch which she bought in 2009. It is running IOS 4. I want to connect it to my iTunes account. I realize this will wipe out everything of hers that's on the device. that's fine. I just don't know how to update the IOS. I guess I'll have to connect it with a cable and look under Devices in iTunes. Is that right?
Also, is there any danger of wiping out my wife's e-mail when I do this? she has a bunch of e-mail accounts which are iMAP on her current iPhone 4 and iPad 2, but which were POP3 on her iPod Touch.
