I think the quality of the List Recorder recordings is pretty good. I recorded a really crummy conversation with my husband while using a wired headset with mic and the volume was poor as would be expected. When I put it in Dropbox and also when I sent it as an email attachment the sound was good when played in iTunes on my Dell laptop. And it doesn't have to be saved to Dropbox when originally making a recording as you can go back and share any previous recordings. For me, Dropbox is free and hard to beat and I do really like List Recorder, especially with the movement controls. It was well worth the money for the full version.

Has anyone tried AudioShare? It's supposed to be an app to share audio
between two apps using something called Audiobus but it does have other
functions one of which is a recorder. You can then upload your
recordings to other apps such as Dropbox. It also has a normalize
function which is on by default. This is a paid app and is very
VoiceOver friendly.

I love list Recorder but haven’t tried it for this purpose yet. I’ll be sure to check it out.

There’s also dropvox which is accessible. It automatically saves the file to your dropbox folder – well once you configure ait anyway.

Thanks

Thank you for this information. I have the app in my dock so it is handy but never realized I could save to Dropbox. I will be using it even more in the future. Also discovered the option to email the recording in the share options.

Thanks,

Sherrie

Subject: A recorder app that saves files to drop box

Hi, I think someone on this list was wondering some time ago about a recording app that would save files to drop box. As one of the developers of List Recorder, I should have remembered this, but I didn’t have time to refresh my memory. It is possible to do easily.

After you have recorded a file and while still in that file, Click on Share, and then on Audio options. You then click on “Open in,” and all the aps that will allow this file to be opened in it will appear in a list. So, you might get other recording apps if you have them, but drop box is also in the list. You then click on Save to drop box.

One warning. When you click on Audio options, it takes a while for the list of all apps to populate, depending on how many you have, but it will eventually give you the list, and perhaps quite quickly if you don’t have 6 other recording apps as I do.

Sorry I did not get to this sooner. I hope it helps someone.

Neal
