I'd also suggest going to the App Switcher and closing all of your apps before 
powering off your iPhone. I'd also suggest powering off your iPhone instead of 
doing a hard reset by just holding down the lock button until the power off 
dialog appears. No reason to do a uncontrolled reset if you don't need to.
