Hi Debbie, Connectg your phone to your computer and find it in iTunes. Be sure the Summary radio button is checked. As you move through the summary information, you'll come to backup options. One is a check box for encrypted backups. Check the box and enter a password when prompted. You'll need this password to restore from the backup. Now whenever you do a backup on your computer, it will be an encrypted backup.
